While I'm thankful for the 90 degree days we have had here in Chicago this week, I can't help but look forward to fall, the holidays, and a change from my summer wardrobe. This fall I have 3 things on my mind.

I created 3 looks below incorporating my favorites to hopefully inspire you for fall.

TOP | JEANS | LOAFERS | LIPSTICK (color - Brocade)

I am crazy about end of season sales. I buy so many of my clothes for the following year at these types of sales. I am not an instant gratification shopper, but a good deal shopper. I'm not claiming to not splurge here and there, but those splurges are doable because I save on most other items throughout the year.

Ruby's wardrobe is no different! I bought most of the clothes she wore this summer last year at the end of summer sales. I now know how each brand fits her and can make an educated guess as to the sizes she will be wearing next year (although thinking about 2T's is killing me, when did she get so old?). Stores have started marking down so keep your eyes peeled over the next few months for steals!

Here are a few of my current sale favorites! I added boy options in as well, because obviously there are baby boys in the world and it's fun to shop for something other than little girl's clothes! Although, I have to agree with most of you boy mom's - boys definitely don't have the clothing options that the girls have!

OLD NAVY - Additional 35% off your order taken at check out

GAP  - Additional 40% off your purchase with code "MORE"

Since diving head first into the world of makeup I think the biggest shocker has been the amount of options out there. There are SO many brands, and SO many products within each brand, and SO many options of each product within the brand (phew!). When you're standing in an aisle surrounded by beauty products each claiming to be better than the next it can be completely overwhelming.

I have rounded up a few of my drugstore favorites (completely awesome and totally affordable), in hopes that the next time you're headed down the makeup aisle your blood pressure doesn't sky rocket!

1. L'OREAL TRUE MATCH LUMI ($10.99) - I am a victim of dry skin and this foundation applies like a dream. It doesn't intensify my dry patches, it rather illuminates my skin, leaving it feeling and looking hydrated and fresh. Yes please! I'll pass on the cakeyness!

2. MAYBELLINE BB CREAM ($8.99) - I have worn this BB cream for the past three summers, it is the perfect weight and coverage for hot summer months. It's coverage conceals blemishes while keeping your skin looking 100% natural.

3. MAYBELINE FIT ME CONCEALER ($6.99) - I love this concealer! It blends like a dream, covers my under eye darkness, and doesn't crease (if set with a translucent powder).

4. L'OREAL MAGIC LUMI HIGHLIGHTER ($12.99) - This magic pen adds highlight wherever it goes. I mix is with my concealer to brighten up the areas under my eyes, on the sides of my nose (to combat redness), my cupids bow, and my chin.

5. MILANI BAKED BLUSH ($7.29) - This blush is a favorite of the makeup community, and for good reason! Its peachy pinkness is flattering on most skin tones, and it applies evenly (yay for no blotchiness!).

6. E.L.F. UNDEREYE SETTING POWDER ($3.00) - It's important to set the areas you conceal to prevent creasing. This CRAZY AFFORDABLE setting powder does just that and is all you need to keep your makeup looking fresh all day.

7. E.L.F MAKEUP MIST & SET SETTING SPRAY ($3.00) - A good setting spray goes hand in hand with a good setting powder. A setting spray is used when you have completely finished your makeup, it helps to mesh the liquids and powders, giving you an overall consistent texture on your skin. It also helps keep your makeup in place all day! Think of a setting spray as the glue that keeps the makeup in place.

8. NYX BIG & LOUD LASH PRIMER ($6.99) - I didn't know I needed a lash primer until I received this as a Christmas gift. The fibers of this primer grab onto each individual lash lengthening and thickening as they go. Once a mascara glides over this primer you have essentially doubled the length and thickness of your lashes. Score!

9. L'OREAL ORIGINAL VOLUMINOUS MASCARA ($8.49) - Hands down the best mascara at the drugstore. It may even be my favorite mascara of all time. I have tried Marc Jacobs "Velvet Noir," Benefits "They're Real," Tarte's "Lights, Camera, Lashes," and a handful of other high end mascaras (and a ton of other drugstore brands), yet this is the mascara I continue to repurchase and reach for.

I hope this helps, and please keep in mind that I am always open to makeup recommendations! If anyone has any personal drugstore favorites please let me know, I would love to try them out.

Anyone who hasn't seen me in the last year, six months even, probably read the title of this post and thought, "but Lindsey doesn't even wear lipstick." Ohhhh what can change in a year! My youngest sister has officially corrupted me with the introduction of Youtube beauty vloggers and I am OBSESSED. They are so talented, so entertaining, and have inspired me to step up my make up game, which was basically non existent, so every improvement has been quite drastic. I am loving it!

Since stumbling upon the incredible world of make up, lipsticks have become a fast favorite. A lipstick will undoubtedly enhance your entire look and with its fool proof application it's a perfect grab and go item when I am in a rush. This summer I have been reaching for the same shades over and over and can't quite seem to get enough of them - especially for summer!

My first lipstick purchase was a MAC lipstick and their formula is still my absolute favorite. It glides on with perfection and lasts hours before needing a touch up. The color "on hold" is a tried and true favorite, its raspberry hue is perfect for warmer weather, flatters my fair skin tone, and compliments each and every make up look. No matter the color, you cannot go wrong with a MAC lipstick. LOVE!

Raquel by Nars is my definite go-to nude lipstick. Its pinky beige coloring gives off nude vibes without making me look sick or lifeless. I was a never a nude lip color fan until I was introduced to "Raquel." This lipstick is perfect if your going for a sexy, sultry look.

I mentioned this lip color a few months back in a May Favorites post and I have continued to reach for this lipstick as much now as when I first purchased it. Matte lipsticks can be drying and flaky, but I have never had that problem with this drugstore brand. It goes on smoothly, feels creamy on the lips, and stays in place for HOURS! I often wear this lipstick to work because I know I won't need to reapply between every bridal appointment, which is essential!

This lip balm is great for super hot beach days! You can't go wrong with a moisturizing, vitamin infused, tinted lip product. It makes even your sweatiest, crazy haired days look glam. Thank you Covergirl!

I splurged on a Dior lipstick years ago and loved the moisturizing, creamy feel of their formula. Not to mention I felt like a million bucks reaching for my Dior lipstick when in realty I had $2.36 in my checking account. Fake it till you make it right? For that reason, I will always have a soft spot and place in my make up collection for Dior lipsticks. This pinky coral color is perfect for every look, every summer. I never get tired of its dewey freshness.

The arrival of summer brings with it the harsh realization that our arms, legs, and stomachs (gasp) will no longer be covered up by oversized sweaters and knee boots.  As the temperatures and hemlines rise my initial thought goes INSTANTLY to the color (or lack thereof, you could call me casper on a good day) of my legs!

Nothing ever looks as good and I definitely never feel as confident as I do when I have a tan. Now that I have a little one to keep up with, "sunbathe in a bikini" has yet to make it on my "to do list." To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't layout even if I had the time, I did enough damage to my skin in high school and college to carry me through till retirement (which is why I invest a small fortune in anti-aging skin creams). Ugh.

With that being said, I have tried and tossed numerous sunless tanning options over the years and have rounded up my 4 favorites in hopes to leave you streak free and feeling fresh for the warmer months ahead.

1. Tarte Brazilliance Plus+

I received this as a freebie from Sephora for spending WAY too much money. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised by its awesomeness, and will definitely repurchase when this when I run out. I love the bronze color of the product, it's very natural looking, and they have managed to make the application mess and streak free (thank you mitt). So, if you're in the market for a higher end self tanner, this one is a MUST.

2. Lorac TANtalizer Baked Bronzer

Thank the good Lord above for the invention of bronzer. I am a bronzer connoisseur and can confidently say this appropriately named "TANtazlizer" by Lorac is hands down the best bronzer when it comes to giving you color that looks like you have actually spent the weekend at the beach. It leaves your skin perfectly tanned with a built in glow that is completely swoon worthy.

Warning! - It doesn't require a heavy application. So, although a little pricey the product goes a long way and will last you FOREVER.

3. The Sinless Tan

Of all my sunless tanning favorites, spray tans rank at the very top of my list. They're quick, easy, and provide instant results. I know a lot of people are hesitant when it comes to the idea of a spray tan. With a little bit of research and a referral or two I promise you will come out looking beautifully bronzed and not like a Jersey Shore cast member. YIKES. If you live in Chicago you're lucky enough to have The Sinless Tan in Lakeview, and now in Old Town! My spray tan was perfection, (which I totally attribute to the pre-tan PH balancing mist they coat you in) no blotchiness, no streaks, and most importantly there was no trace of the dreaded "orange!" I got a spray tan from The Sinless Tan right before we left for Italy, it was the perfect color and lasted the entire trip (and then some). Phil commented, "I think this is the best spray tan you have ever had." It was the sincerest of compliments, he has not always been a fan of spray tans. If you're in Chicago, check them out, you won't regret it!

4. Jergens Natural Glow

A tried and true old faithful. They have re-formulated the scent (MUCH better) since my college days where I slathered this lotion from head to toe after a 20 minute tanning bed session. Tan on top of tan? Seriously gross, I had a problem. Anyway, I have since said goodbye to the tanning bed and kept the lotion on hand. It is an easy access (Target, CVS, Walgreens, grocery store, etc.) product that if you have a couple of days to allow it to build up, it leaves you with beautifully bronzed skin.

Tip - Even if you are super fair skinned (like me) go for the medium/dark skin tone formula. I really don't see much of a difference when I use the fair/medium option. The darker lotion will give you a richer color in half the time!
