BEDROOM REFRESH

I'm starting to get that itch again. You know, the one where you want to redecorate every room in your house because Pinterest, HGTV, and Instagram are constantly providing you with bigger and better ideas. We have lived in our current apartment for 8 months, which is pretty much my max for leaving things as is. I recently traded out our two small ottomans for a much more substantial coffee table. We went the ottoman route because we didn't want to worry about sharp corners while Ruby was learning to walk, but now that she's a pro it was time to trade them in on something a little more aesthetically pleasing. Luckily that little switch up is holding me over for now.

Nothing makes me more satisfied than rearranging furniture, organizing spaces, and trading out the old for the new. Interior design is an addiction and I never stop looking for new ideas (but totally plan on hiring an interior designer once we buy a house because the options and pressure to get it right would definitely send me into a downward spiral).

The bedroom is probably my favorite place to do a quick refresh. I am a sucker for linens and on my "must haves" list for our future home are "LARGE walk in closet" and "LARGE linen closet," other than that it's all negotiable. My mom always jokes that I was the only 10 year old asking for Egyptian Cotton sheets for my birthday, but hey, I appreciate quality bedding! We now have seasonal duvets, comforters, and quilts and as I change one out for another the freshness always brings a smile to my face.

My current favorite interior designer, Studio McGee posted the above photo on her site and I can't get over the serenity and simplicity of this look. I would love this for a guest bedroom or a Spring/Summer bedding option for the master bedroom. How peaceful to fall asleep and wake up in a space so beautiful.

Below are a few items to get you started on this gorgeous bedroom refresh.

1 (I am CRAZY about this line of pillows from Studio McGee) | 2 | 3 | 4 (I would outfit the bed in a textured white quilt and tri- fold a fluffy white duvet at the foot of the bed for added warmth and dimension | 5 | 6 | 7 (smaller version also available)
