Unless you are hiding under a rock you know the Golden Globes kicked off awards season in high gear last night! I believe this year’s Golden Globes fashion was incomparable to previous years. There truly were no “worst dressed” nominees; everyone looked absolutely stunning despite the “freezing” fifty-degree temperatures on the red carpet. The show itself mirrored the show stopping fashions, it was three hours packed full of entertainment. Why did no one think of having Tina Fey and Amy Pohler as co-hosts before? Their one-line zingers had me doubled over in laughter. Throw in Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Jason Bateman and Aziz Ansari and you have a recipe for humorous success.

Now, back to my personal favorite Golden Globes fashion moments. I was in awe of the long sleeved, body hugging gowns worn by Julianne Moore, Naomi Watts and Nicole Richie. Stunning is the only word appropriate to describe their presence. I was also obsessed with the gold and white dresses worn by Julianne Hough and Michelle Dockery. They were glowing golden goddesses and both were absolute showstoppers. Kristen Wiig’s cutout black gown didn’t top many of the best-dressed lists but it was my favorite look of hers thus far. She has a gorgeous body and that silhouette was beyond flattering, simply amazing! Lucy Liu took a risk with her floral patterned gown and it paid off. When she stepped onto the red carpet she took my breath away. Everything was over the top, the colors, the flowers, the size of the skirt, but it worked and she looked beautiful.
My best dressed of the night was Amy Adams in her Marchesa mermaid style gown. I saw her and knew that she was the one; her dress was perfect. Amy looked flawlessly gorgeous and I loved everything about her look.
I hope you had the chance to live vicariously through the stars designer gowns and millions of dollars in diamonds last night. It was a fantastic escape and I can’t wait for the next show! What were your thoughts about the Golden Globes fashion, who was your best dressed?
