Printed Pant

Printed Pant

I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful fall Friday! I am home in Ohio for this fast approaching Thanksgiving and the trees are just about naked, all of their gorgeous leaves have fallen.  Although the temperatures are dropping the sun is still shining bright and that makes my heart smile. It is time for Thanksgiving menu’s to be finalized and black Friday plans of attack be rehearsed. So a week from now while you are frantically running around your favorite mall be on the lookout for one of my favorites trends, printed pants! As soon as this phenomenon hit the shelves I was all over them. I own quite a few pair, my favorite being this colorful pair from H&M. I was so excited by the print that I didn’t even think about what I had in my closet to pair them with. I quickly found that I viewed these quirky pants as quite versatile and have coupled them with tops such as a denim button up, a pastel green sweater and a black shimmery peplum tank. My options are endless!

Don’t be hesitant to invest in pair of these statement bottoms. If you flip your mindset and think of the pant as a top and your top as a pant it may be easier to imagine possible outfits in your head. We are so accustomed to wearing solids on the bottom and prints on the top that a simple flip flop in your thought process can eliminate the guessing game. For instance, if you would wear a leopard print sweater with a black pant think about pairing a leopard pant with a black sweater.

If you purchase a printed pant with primarily neutral tones treat it as dark denim. This INC skinny denim has a bold print but in a basic color making your options on top seemingly endless. A pop of color in a sweater would be great for day and a tank with a sassy velvet blazer would be great for night. Choosing a pant with velvet detail dresses up the look and would make a great statement piece for a holiday party. Choosing a simple yet classic black damask pant is also an option, giving you the opportunity to dress it up or down.

These bottoms are fun, so have fun playing with your looks. Have a great weekend!
