New week, new trend! Today it is all about the shoes. I saw a tweet over the weekend from Carrie Bradshaw that said, “Never trust women that don’t like shoe shopping.” I am ashamed of myself for following a television character on twitter and I am even more embarrassed that I am telling you about it! Judge as you may, but if there was ever an iconic shoe connoisseur it was Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw. Therefore, I do not take her advice light heartedly and I couldn’t agree with her more. What woman does not find a little pleasure in splurging on a pair of fabulous must-have shoes? The T-Strap
The “it” shoe of the spring season is the chic t-strap. When I hear t-strap I think of Sunday morning church services and swarms of little old ladies hugging and kissing me in their nude nylons and Mary Jane-esque t-strap heels. Fortunately, the style of the shoe has been gorgeously modernized and is girl’s night worthy.
BCBG has a stunning metallic t-strap heel with a dramatic ankle cuff. This shoe would be a knockout at any black tie event. If you are looking for style with a reasonable price tag check out Forever 21’s nude t-strap heel with neon ankle detailing. Their shoes are such a bargain and I can honestly say are more comfortable than most of my pricey shoes. Elizabeth and James took the classic Mary Jane t-strap and updated it beautifully with a pointed toe and rocker chic ankle cuff.
This style shoe has the perfect amount of personality and will anchor any outfit beautifully. It is easy to see why this shoe topped the list of trends this spring.
