[gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="4"] I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My morning started early, I was in the kitchen by 8:00 am helping my mom avert our frozen turkey crisis. Who knew that after two days of defrosting in the refrigerator an 18 lb turkey could still be frozen? After running it under cold water for an hour it was time to season it and pop it in the oven. I spent the rest of my morning assembling casseroles, vegetable dishes, desserts and my favorite of the day lobster macaroni and cheese. We have some non meat eaters in the family so the lobster mac and cheese was the turkey substitute and oh my goodness was it delicious! Talk about carb overload!
When my grandparents and uncles arrived we sat down to enjoy our fabulous feast. Even Vivienne was able to indulge in a Thanksgiving bone. After literally not being able to take another bite we waddled into the living room to relax and watch football. Naps and dessert were next on the agenda and then we said our goodbyes to family.
At the last minute my mom and I decided we should head to Target for some black Friday shopping. It has always been a tradition to partake in this crazy "holiday" and we have yet to leave a store defeated. We waited in line at Target for about 45 minutes and then it was game time. I got yelled at by a security guard for running at full speed towards the electronics department so I ducked down a shoe aisle and continued on my mission, still running of course. I got what I need and patted myself on the back then headed to find the rest of my "divide and conquer" group. We were able to check everything we had set after off of our list which made standing in the cold completely worth it!
Overall, it was a great day and I am so blessed for all I have in my life. I hope you all had just as much fun and that your day was filled with memories of those you love the most.
